브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 넷플릭스(Netflix) 시리즈 <레이디 두아>가 제작발표회를 성황리에 마무리했다.

넷플릭스는 10일 “가짜일지라도 명품이 되고 싶었던 여자 ‘사라킴’과 그녀의 욕망을 추적하는 남자 ‘무경’의 이야기를 그린 <레이디 두아>가 오늘 제작발표회를 성황리에 마쳤다”고 밝혔다. 

이날 <레이디 두아> 제작발표회에는 김진민 감독, 배우 신혜선·이준혁이 참석해 다양한 이야기를 나누며 작품에 대한 기대감을 한층 높였다.

먼저 김진민 감독은 “사람의 욕망을 드라마로 만든 작품이다. 욕망을 좇는 사람과 욕망을 좇는 사람을 쫓는 두 사람을 보는 재미로 꽉 차 있는 작품”이라고 작품을 소개하며 제작발표회의 시작을 알렸다. 

이어 김진민 감독은 “대본을 처음 봤을 때 구성이 재밌다고 생각했고, 뒤를 알 수 없는 전개가 요즘에 찾기 어려운 대본이었다. 내가 잘할 수 있을까 했지만 도전해 봐야겠다는 생각이 들었다”라고 연출하게 된 계기를 전해 작품에 대한 기대감을 높였다. 

두 배우에 대해 김진민 감독은 “‘사라킴’ 캐릭터는 한 인물이 다양하게 연기해야 해서 배우의 포텐셜이 없으면 어렵다고 생각한다. 혜선 씨와 작업하면서 저 사람을 믿는다는 것 하나였고, 굉장한 집중력을 보여줬다”라고, “무경’의 시선이 시청자의 시선이라 생각해서, 누가 하냐에 따라 색깔이 달라질 거라 생각했다. 준혁 씨가 좋은 질문을 날카롭게 잘 해줘서, 많은 도움이 되었다”라며 소회를 전해 이들의 호흡에 대한 궁금증을 높인다.

진실을 집요하게 쫓는 형사 ‘박무경’ 역의 이준혁은 “‘사라킴’ 사건을 집요하게 쫓는 완벽한 형사이지만, 사회적인 시스템에 어딘가 눌려있는 캐릭터다”​라고 캐릭터에 대해 설명했다. 이준혁은 “‘무경’은 도전적인 과제였다. 모든 인물을 만나는 캐릭터여서, 현장에서 느끼는 긴장감과 작품의 룰을 많이 신경 썼고, 균형을 찾으려는 거에 노력을 많이 쏟으려고 했다”라고 시청자들이 ‘무경’의 시선에 따라 스토리를 잘 따라갈 수 있게끔 표현하기 위한 연기 주안점을 밝혔다.
